The Summer of Beach portraits
This summer was a mix of concerts, real estate photography and beach family sessions and portraits. The portraits were great because I ventured to Lewes Beach, Rehoboth Beach, Dewey Beach and Cape Henlopen State Park (yes, I have a photo permit and you do need one to shoot commercially in the state parks).
It's nice to meet up with couples and families, get to know them for a brief time and snap some pictures of everyone in this beautiful area in Delaware. It's funny meeting up with people that live near your hometown in NY as well.
My favorites this summer were surprise engagement proposals. You have to stake out the place like you're a cop and keep your distance. I guess so far it's worked and didn't tip anyone off. Seeing the surprise on everyone's faces is a blast to witness. Glad I'm there with my camera to capture the moment.
Being in Delaware, there's so many spots to pick from to have portraits done. The beach of course, but also the local farms and other spots around coastal Delaware. Fall is nearly here and the holidays will soon be after so be sure to reach out for a session before my calendar gets filled for the rest of the year!
